Professional Experience
MoneyGram International – DevOps Engineer (Jan 2021 – Present)
- Orchestrated and managed containerized applications on Kubernetes clusters using custom HelmCharts and Terraform.
- Designed and implemented CI/CD pipelines using Tekton and Bitbucket, integrated with Argo CD for GitOps-based deployments to Kubernetes clusters.
- Implemented monitoring stack with Prometheus, Grafana and Datadog, including building custom dashboards to visualize Kubernetes metrics and application health.
- Maintained infrastructure code in Bitbucket repositories and built custom Terraform modules to automate provisioning of AWS services including compute, database, and networking components.
- Utilized Doppler for secure secrets management across CI/CD workflows and Kubernetes environments.
- Integrated testing into CI/CD pipelines (unit, SonarQube, Veracode, Image signing and scanning) resulting in improved code quality and faster bug identification.
- Deployed and maintained containerized applications in Kubernetes, leveraging EKS, ECS and ECR for scalable, cloud-native service delivery.
- Implemented automated backup strategy for internal services, storing encrypted snapshots in cloud storage with defined retention policies.
- Investigated Gradle caching strategies in a CI environment, implementing dependency caching and evaluating configuration cache trade-offs to accelerate build times in a large-scale monorepo.
- Updated S3 bucket policies to grant secure read access for Kubernetes-based microservices, enabling internal systems to consume Cloudflare log data stored in AWS.
- Planned and migrated QA nightly pipelines from Jenkins to Tekton, covering API testing, UAT testing and PWA services, which improved automated test coverage and accelerated feedback cycles.
- Implemented CI/CD pipeline health monitoring by automating Slack alerts for pipeline inactivity during business hours, ensuring manifests were managed through GitOps workflows with Argo CD.
Morningstar – Cloud Architect (Jan 2020 – Dec 2020)
- Configured Jenkins multibranch pipelines to automate CI/CD, optimizing build and deployment workflows.
- Designed and managed scalable cloud architectures on AWS, utilizing services like VPC, EC2, Route53, Firewalls, S3, CloudWatch, SNS, ECR , KMS and RDS.
- Developed an automated cloud infrastructure solution using Terraform on GCP. Implemented CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins.
- Improved reliability of image promotion pipelines by implementing retry logic for image retagging and pushing, with configurable backoff to ensure successful delivery to non-prod and prod environments.
- Automated nightly database backups for a Docker Compose–based Redash deployment, storing data in Google Cloud Storage with a 30-day retention policy to improve operational resilience.
Life Equipment LLC – IT Operations Manager (Jun 2016 – Dec 2020)
- Managed IT infrastructure (servers, networks, security).
- Led technical operations across three office locations.
